Highlights
About this spot
Up here, at around 1,100 metres above sea level in the heart of the Emmental, stands your Bubble Tent Zuckeralp, with far-reaching views over meadows and forests all the way to the Jura mountains.
Your bubble tent stands open above the valley, nestled among gentle hills and pastures, and if the sky plays along, it sends the sunset too.
Sugar-sweet views!
On this lovingly run farm, you'll share the place with a few cows and their calves, a friendly farm dog and three cats, who create a family atmosphere. Everything is warm-hearted, a bit like visiting friends in the countryside. Here, nature sets the pace, not your calendar.
Outside, the Emmental awaits: lace up your hiking boots and head out on the Lüderenalp–Napf ridge trail, stopping off at Gasthof Lüderenalp, where regional cuisine meets Emmental hospitality. From Wasen there's the Geissewäg for leisurely hikers as well as sporty trails for mountain bikes. Along the way you'll meet the odd cow, especially in autumn during the traditional cattle drive down from the alpine pastures.
In the evening, it takes very little to be truly happy: a chilled drink, simple barbecue food from the farm and the view into the valley until the hills grow dark.
Info: There's also a campsite at the Bubble Tent Zuckeralp location, so the toilets and showers are shared with other guests.

Frequent questions
Everything you need to know about booking and payment. Still stuck? Just message our friendly team in the chat.
There's a campsite on the Zuckeralp, so campers may be on the property; however, the bubble tent pitch is around 500 metres away and stays pleasantly quiet.
Food isn't included. The farm sells a few bits and pieces you can buy for the barbecue. Otherwise, just bring whatever you like – and don't forget drinking water!
We ask you to treat nature, the facilities and the neighbours with consideration, so that all guests can have a pleasant experience.
For safety reasons, open fire isn't allowed inside the bubble. If you have any questions about permitted fire pits, please contact your host on site directly.
That depends on the location. In the search, you can select the "Dogs welcome" filter. The listing will also give you more information – for example, that dogs are usually only allowed in the airlock chamber and that you'll need to bring a dog basket.
For cancellations up to 21 days before arrival, 85% of the booking amount will be refunded; the remaining 15% is retained as a service & transaction fee. For cancellations up to 7 days before arrival, 50% of the booking amount will be refunded. For cancellations up to 3 days before arrival, 20% of the booking amount will be refunded. Unfortunately, no refund is possible for cancellations after that. You can easily cancel yourself under “My booking”. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Bookings can be rescheduled free of charge for the same location up to 10 days before arrival. Depending on the dates you choose, you may need to pay the difference or receive a refund. You can easily reschedule yourself under “My booking”.
No, unfortunately that isn't technically possible. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid for your booking fully or partly with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Our regular cancellation terms also apply in the event of illness. Unfortunately, this means a short-notice cancellation free of charge isn't possible, even if you can't travel due to illness.
We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance when you book, which also covers illness. That way, you're financially protected just in case.
The bubbles are built to be weatherproof, so rain won't spoil your nature experience. Thanks to the transparent roof, you can look outside from the comfort of your bed, even when it's raining.
The temperature inside generally follows the temperature outside. Depending on the location, electric blankets or additional heating are available, so you can stay cosy on cooler days. On warmer days, some locations also have a fan.
Please note that even on warm days, it can cool down considerably at night. On hot days, we therefore recommend enjoying the late afternoon and early evening outside first and only heading into the bubble tent in the evening. That way, you'll make your stay especially pleasant.
We recommend dressing for the season and, in cooler temperatures, bringing extra warm clothing and blankets, as this is a nature experience.
