About this spot
It feels like an insider tip you just have to share:
In the middle of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park lies our Bubble Hotel Todtmoos.
“Hardly any light pollution and deep peace – a mental detox programme as a free upgrade.”
The bubble tent offers perfect conditions for a breather together, because Todtmoos is an officially recognised climatic health resort. So your getaway begins with your very first breath: a mild climate, clean air and even a therapy forest where you can hike off everyday stress together. You can also breathe deeply together in the sauna at Pension Sternen, run with heart by host Aleks.
In this lovely spot, you really need nothing more than fresh air and love for your getaway to feel like a little wellness holiday.
And the nights are at least as glorious as the sunny days in the Black Forest. The low light pollution opens up a view of a night sky you'd otherwise only know from desktop wallpapers. So let your campfire slowly die down, put your phones away, pull the duvet up to your chin in the bubble tent and marvel together at the sea of stars above you.
A night in a spot so remote that only the fox and the hare say goodnight – and soon, perhaps, to you too.

Frequent questions
Everything you need to know about booking and payment. Still stuck? Just message our friendly team in the chat.
The bathroom (toilet + shower) is at Pension Sternen. You'll also find the sauna at the guest house.
Feel free to talk to host Aleks on site – you can book a breakfast basket with her, and dinner is also available on request. Of course, you're also welcome to bring your own food or barbecue on site. There's also great food in the region – see our favourite restaurants above!
We ask you to treat nature, the facilities and the neighbours with consideration, so that all guests can have a pleasant experience.
For safety reasons, open fire isn't allowed inside the bubble. If you have any questions about permitted fire pits, please contact your host on site directly.
That depends on the location. In the search, you can select the "Dogs welcome" filter. The listing will also give you more information – for example, that dogs are usually only allowed in the airlock chamber and that you'll need to bring a dog basket.
For cancellations up to 21 days before arrival, 85% of the booking amount will be refunded; the remaining 15% is retained as a service & transaction fee. For cancellations up to 7 days before arrival, 50% of the booking amount will be refunded. For cancellations up to 3 days before arrival, 20% of the booking amount will be refunded. Unfortunately, no refund is possible for cancellations after that. You can easily cancel yourself under “My booking”. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Bookings can be rescheduled free of charge for the same location up to 10 days before arrival. Depending on the dates you choose, you may need to pay the difference or receive a refund. You can easily reschedule yourself under “My booking”.
No, unfortunately that isn't technically possible. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid for your booking fully or partly with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Our regular cancellation terms also apply in the event of illness. Unfortunately, this means a short-notice cancellation free of charge isn't possible, even if you can't travel due to illness.
We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance when you book, which also covers illness. That way, you're financially protected just in case.
The bubbles are built to be weatherproof, so rain won't spoil your nature experience. Thanks to the transparent roof, you can look outside from the comfort of your bed, even when it's raining.
The temperature inside generally follows the temperature outside. Depending on the location, electric blankets or additional heating are available, so you can stay cosy on cooler days. On warmer days, some locations also have a fan.
Please note that even on warm days, it can cool down considerably at night. On hot days, we therefore recommend enjoying the late afternoon and early evening outside first and only heading into the bubble tent in the evening. That way, you'll make your stay especially pleasant.
We recommend dressing for the season and, in cooler temperatures, bringing extra warm clothing and blankets, as this is a nature experience.
