About this spot
Scheidegg in the Western Allgäu: mountain air, meadows and a little country life. Everything in this Bavarian idyll invites you to take a break – how lucky that there's a bubble tent here on the slope, with views of the Allgäu and of pure relaxation.
This lovely place is known as the sun terrace above Lake Constance
You sleep on a plateau between Lake Constance and the Alps. Wonderful to have both around you – and above all, each other, because the moment is all about you! Enjoy time together under the starry sky or in the sauna, which you can book.
It's in the house next door, where you'll also find a bathroom with a warm shower and a large kitchen with everything you need for a dinner date. In the morning, stock up at the rustic village dairy and the traditional bakery, and start the day slowly with breakfast in the garden.
The best thing about this bubble tent: it's always there for you! In Scheidegg, the tent and house doors are open to you all year round. In golden autumn, the light falls right onto the bed; in winter, the snowy Allgäu lies at your feet while you're snuggled up in bed. Radiant heaters provide extra warmth from October to April, so for a heating surcharge of 50 euros you're guaranteed a cosy getaway.

Everything you need to know about booking and payment. Still stuck? Just message our friendly team in the chat.
No, but you can pre-order baked goods from a local bakery. Within walking distance you'll find a village dairy and even a gluten-free patisserie. You can cook in the kitchen in the house next door.
Yes, there's a sauna in the house next door. You can book it as an extra (€50 / 2 hrs) – warm, private and all yours.
The bubble tent lets you spend a night under the starry sky in a dream location – quite literally.
A comfortable double bed beneath you, the Allgäu with its hills and forests all around and Lake Constance close by.
The first hiking trails start right outside your door, and in the evening tired legs can relax in the sauna. Glamping in Bavaria couldn't be easier.
We ask you to treat nature, the facilities and the neighbours with consideration, so that all guests can have a pleasant experience.
For safety reasons, open fire isn't allowed inside the bubble. If you have any questions about permitted fire pits, please contact your host on site directly.
That depends on the location. In the search, you can select the "Dogs welcome" filter. The listing will also give you more information – for example, that dogs are usually only allowed in the airlock chamber and that you'll need to bring a dog basket.
For cancellations up to 21 days before arrival, 85% of the booking amount will be refunded; the remaining 15% is retained as a service & transaction fee. For cancellations up to 7 days before arrival, 50% of the booking amount will be refunded. For cancellations up to 3 days before arrival, 20% of the booking amount will be refunded. Unfortunately, no refund is possible for cancellations after that. You can easily cancel yourself under “My booking”. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Bookings can be rescheduled free of charge for the same location up to 10 days before arrival. Depending on the dates you choose, you may need to pay the difference or receive a refund. You can easily reschedule yourself under “My booking”.
No, unfortunately that isn't technically possible. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid for your booking fully or partly with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Our regular cancellation terms also apply in the event of illness. Unfortunately, this means a short-notice cancellation free of charge isn't possible, even if you can't travel due to illness.
We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance when you book, which also covers illness. That way, you're financially protected just in case.
The bubbles are built to be weatherproof, so rain won't spoil your nature experience. Thanks to the transparent roof, you can look outside from the comfort of your bed, even when it's raining.
The temperature inside generally follows the temperature outside. Depending on the location, electric blankets or additional heating are available, so you can stay cosy on cooler days. On warmer days, some locations also have a fan.
Please note that even on warm days, it can cool down considerably at night. On hot days, we therefore recommend enjoying the late afternoon and early evening outside first and only heading into the bubble tent in the evening. That way, you'll make your stay especially pleasant.
We recommend dressing for the season and, in cooler temperatures, bringing extra warm clothing and blankets, as this is a nature experience.
