About this spot
Summer is calling from the Silbersee: between the lido and the bubble tent, there's you and your getaway. And maybe the odd runaway pygmy goat. Just outside Freiburg, on the grounds of Breisgau Camping, a getaway awaits that will feel like the summer holidays.
A holiday at the lido: clear water, idyllic nature. Off to the kiosk for ice cream!
The Silbersee Freiburg is open to you from midday (12:30 pm). The perfect place for swimming, sunbathing and relaxed summer days with the family or for two. If you really need to let go on your getaway, you can bare it all in the separate naturist area. It's up to you!
We still recommend packing a few beach outfits, because here you can book stand-up paddling, play table tennis and bounce on the trampoline until your legs are tired.
Your bubble tent is another island of relaxation. It isn't right on the shore, which makes it a quiet retreat with deck chairs and a covered seating area. And when the sun disappears behind the trees and is reflected in the water, everything goes quiet and the starry sky appears above you. Time for bed: make yourselves comfortable and enjoy the home cinema in the sky.

You might want to stay at this swimming lake forever, but the area around Freiburg is just as heavenly and sun-kissed. The Black Forest is ready for your visit, and the vineyards of the Kaiserstuhl are tempting too. It's a wonderful place for hiking and road cycling – and eating.

Frequent questions
Everything you need to know about booking and payment. Still stuck? Just message our friendly team in the chat.
There's no kitchen on site. However, glasses, cutlery and plates are provided, as well as a covered pavilion with seating where you can eat in comfort. There's also a kiosk with vending machines and food on offer, including snacks, a selection of cold cuts and bread, tarte flambée, currywurst, chips and other small dishes. You'll find more restaurants and culinary tips in our recommendations above!
Yes! Check-in to the bubble tent itself is from 3 pm. But you can still arrive from 12:30 pm and jump into the Silbersee.
We ask you to treat nature, the facilities and the neighbours with consideration, so that all guests can have a pleasant experience.
For safety reasons, open fire isn't allowed inside the bubble. If you have any questions about permitted fire pits, please contact your host on site directly.
That depends on the location. In the search, you can select the "Dogs welcome" filter. The listing will also give you more information – for example, that dogs are usually only allowed in the airlock chamber and that you'll need to bring a dog basket.
For cancellations up to 21 days before arrival, 85% of the booking amount will be refunded; the remaining 15% is retained as a service & transaction fee. For cancellations up to 7 days before arrival, 50% of the booking amount will be refunded. For cancellations up to 3 days before arrival, 20% of the booking amount will be refunded. Unfortunately, no refund is possible for cancellations after that. You can easily cancel yourself under “My booking”. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Bookings can be rescheduled free of charge for the same location up to 10 days before arrival. Depending on the dates you choose, you may need to pay the difference or receive a refund. You can easily reschedule yourself under “My booking”.
No, unfortunately that isn't technically possible. The refund is made automatically to the original payment method. If you paid for your booking fully or partly with a voucher, that portion will be credited back to your voucher.
Our regular cancellation terms also apply in the event of illness. Unfortunately, this means a short-notice cancellation free of charge isn't possible, even if you can't travel due to illness.
We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance when you book, which also covers illness. That way, you're financially protected just in case.
The bubbles are built to be weatherproof, so rain won't spoil your nature experience. Thanks to the transparent roof, you can look outside from the comfort of your bed, even when it's raining.
The temperature inside generally follows the temperature outside. Depending on the location, electric blankets or additional heating are available, so you can stay cosy on cooler days. On warmer days, some locations also have a fan.
Please note that even on warm days, it can cool down considerably at night. On hot days, we therefore recommend enjoying the late afternoon and early evening outside first and only heading into the bubble tent in the evening. That way, you'll make your stay especially pleasant.
We recommend dressing for the season and, in cooler temperatures, bringing extra warm clothing and blankets, as this is a nature experience.
